Patty Laufer — Founder and President
Graduated summa cum laude from Marymount-Manhattan College (MMC). Master’s degree in Higher and Adult Education from Teacher’s College, Columbia University. Formerly: Compliance Director at a NYSE brokerage firm. Executive Vice President, The Institute of Wall Street Studies, managing the training of brokers for required state securities exams. Worked in Admissions and Academic Affairs offices at MMC, and as Director of its English as a Second Language (ESL) Program. Currently serving as a member of the Headmaster’s Advisory Committee at a New York City private school. Founded PJL in 1993, and has since served as its President.
Sasha Collins Blackwell, Ph.D., NCSP — Consulting Psychologist and Educational Consultant
B.A. in Psychology, New York University. M.A. in Psychology and M.S. in Education, CUNY. Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a specialization in School Psychology from the Graduate Center of CUNY. Licensed Psychologist and Nationally certified School Psychologist. Specialties include early childhood mental health, classroom quality, positive behavior support, learning difficulties, developmental concerns and instructional strategies/modifications. Taught as an Adjunct Professor at Queens College and Adelphi University, worked as a school psychologist in public and private New York City schools, and did a post-doctoral fellowship at Adelphi Institute for Parenting. Currently in private practice doing educational and behavioral consultation. Consultant at PJL to foster positive developmental, academic and behavioral outcomes in infants, toddlers, and preschool and school-age children.
Margo Lindauer — Manager/Boston & Washington, D.C. Divisions
B.A. in International Relations and Italian Studies, Wellesley College. J.D., Northeastern Law School. In addition to administering PJL’s Boston & Washington, D.C. Divisions and tutoring for PJL in those divisions, formerly served as a clinical teaching fellow in the domestic violence clinic at Georgetown University Law Center. Formerly performed services in the Essex County (MA) Juvenile Courts and taught courses in Spanish and served as a Juvenile Justice Fellow at Suffolk University Law School (MA), working with faculty and students in its Child Advocacy and Juvenile Defender Clinics. Tutoring specialist in English (all levels), Spanish (all levels), and study skills.
Susan L. Krauss — Certified Social Worker and Administrator

Currently serving as a member of the Headmaster’s Advisory Committee at a New York City private school. Provides financial, legal and administrative services to PJL.
